Replas – Grade 4/5&6 Excursion

The Grade 4/5&6 students will be visiting the Replas Environmental Centre which offers visitors an opportunity to discover some of the answers to the problems faced by our planet. It is home to a range of products from Australia’s leading mixed recycled plastic manufacturer – Replas, along with other sustainable solutions and products. Whether it’s to learn about the Circular Economy, view Replas’ vast selection of recycled plastic products or simply to learn more about Recycling in Australia, The REC has it covered. Students will learn about:
The impact of plastic waste on our environment
Landfill and current waste management principles in Australia
The classification of the 7 different types of plastic
Soft plastics and how they can be recycled
Recycled plastic manufacturing processes and the benefits of a circular economy
View a range of products that were created from Australian plastic waste in our showroom
Simple things we can all do at home and within the community to help create a more sustainable future.
