Tibetan Buddhist Thangka Iconography Workshop

A rare opportunity to spend a day learning and exploring the iconography of Buddhist Thangkas through drawing, with a highly qualified and experienced Thangka artist, Sherab Dorji. The proceeds from the cost of your ticket will go toward the fundraising efforts to support Sherab’s brother’s urgent medical expenses in Tibet. The day includes morning tea and a delicious Tibetan lunch. All materials are supplied.

PROGRAM:
9:30 – 11 am General introduction to iconography
11 – 11:30 am Tea break
11 am – 1 pm Teaching and experiential learning
1 pm – 2pm Lunch
2pm – 3pm Discussion: implications for practice, Q&A, feedback

Lunch
Vegan Mog mog (Tibetan dumplings)
Homemade chilli sauce
Tomato and ginger sauce
Mix of vegan and vegetarian salads
